Do ear drops for tinnitus ringing have any credibility? Do they work? Can you really put drops in the ear and get a reduction in your tinnitus intensity or even potentially a total eradication of your symptoms?

The simple truth is this: NO they do not work. How could they work?

These ear drops are typically one of two things. Either they are a homeopathic remedy or they are simply a mixture of several different ingredients, each of which has at least anecdotal evidence that it might help for tinnitus, usually if taken orally.

There is no real, hard evidence that tinnitus ear drops work. Moreover, the "science" behind them is extremely sketchy. It is very easy for anyone to try to explain something scientifically to suit their own agenda because the general public do not have a full understanding of science and so may not spot glaring assumptions that are made in the explanations.

You may experience better hearing afterwards but it won't do anything for the hair cell damage in your cochleas that contributes to your tinnitus so don't make the mistake of thinking that your tinnitus might be improved.
